Vizstack specializes in building production-ready analytics infrastructure for the modern analytics team. We have created a unique and scalable product that allows any business to set up their own visual analytics stack with ease. Learn more about what Vizstack does, how it works, and why you should use our services!
Vizstack uses Infrastructure-as-Code concepts, which refer to a set of practices in which infrastructure provisioning tasks are automated through scripts so they can be executed repeatedly without human intervention. This allows for the complete automation of provisioning, deployment, configuration management and ongoing maintenance. We use IaC technologies to describe what each piece of your stack should look like in order for it to be production-ready. Because we use the same automations for every deployment, we run them through strict end-to-end tests whenever they're changed. This gives us all the confidence to know that every environment has been configured consistently with automations that are known to work well.
Not every environment needs to behave exactly the same, though. Each one might need slightly different customizations and configurations. Vizstack's easy-to-use interface guides you through the configuration process, with recommended defaults in place to make the whole process easier. These configuration details are saved and used on your behalf for every automation, ensuring that updates/upgrades and new deployments are consistently dependable.
Backups are vital to good infrastructure management, but many organizations get so excited about unlocking insights from their data that they often forget to actively manage the backup process. With Vizstack, backups are automated, and can be scheduled to run at any time. You can even take backups on-demand if necessary!
Restoring is easy, too: Vizstack shows you a list of recent backups, and gives you the ability to restore to a new environment (great for testing) or to an existing environment.
With few exceptions, we lean heavily on the concept of immutable infrastructure. Immutability means you can't change anything on the server – any configuration changes, updates/upgrades or restores are performed on a new server, and are promoted to production only after they are successfully completed. This reduces downtime to near zero, and provides a much better end-user experience than in-place changes.
Performing updates or software upgrades is one of the most vital aspects of successfully managing an analytics infrastructure. Since the BI industry is moving at a faster and faster pace, it's important to stay on top of new features in order to remain competitive in the market. Naturally, it's also imperative to quickly address security issues. That said, these two tasks are the most likely to result in downtime and support requests. Thankfully, Vizstack's "immutable infrastructure" approach to managing your analytics stack helps to mitigate these risks. With our approach, you can define an update/upgrade policy that suits your needs, and rest assured knowing that it will either succeed or fail silently – not take down production. For organizations that need more confidence, it's trivial to implement a test environment that's a clone of your existing production environment.
We offer two types of support to suit your needs:
Recommended for small teams or non-production environments: Chat-based Standard Support is included with every plan. If there are any issues with the Vizstack site or automations, our support team will help diagnose and resolve those issues.
Recommended for business-critical production environments: Premium support gives you phone-based access to our support team whenever necessary. In addition to Vizstack site and automation support, we can provide best-effort support for your visual analytics application. Our support team has over a decade of experience with the software, as well as relevant experience with related networking, storage, compute and related analytics technologies.
Experience first-hand how Vizstack can help you save time and expense on analytics infrastructure.
